Introduction to Digital Photography
May 4, 11, 18, 25, 6-7:30pm
This course will help the students become understand the fundamentals of digital photography. The areas of instruction that will be emphasized are, how cameras work, how composition works, how lighting works, how to use the DSLR for better images. Students will, generally, receive basic instruction, demonstration, and see samples of the desired outcomes. They will see what makes a successful photo and what does not. Join Martha Hill, a seasoned embroiderer and active member of the Embroiderers' Guild of America for 25 years. Martha Hill will be teaching learners of all levels the basics of cross stitch by working on an Alphabet and Numbers Sampler. This is done by stitching one square of fabric for each symbol on the chart grid to create a pattern. Seating is limited and you must register for class. Museum Class and Workshop Policy Registration & Payment:
Enrollment for each class is limited; registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. You can register by phone or in person at the gift shop. The museum accepts cash, check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover). Full payment must accompany registration. Registered students will receive a confirmation by email. Registration for all classes closes 48 hours prior to start date unless otherwise noted.
Tuition: Museum members with a current Family level ($50 per year) membership and above receive the member tuition rate for classes and workshops.
Refund Policy: Refunds are given only if a class is cancelled or an enrollment is denied due to class size limitation. El Paso Museum of History reserves the right to cancel classes that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements, which is determined on an individual class basis. Cash and check refunds will be given after City vendor forms are completed. If your class is cancelled, you will be notified at least 24 hours in advance.
Photo Release: Throughout camps and classes, photos of various activities may be taken. A release form must be signed by parent or guardian on the first day of class. This rule applies to children’s classes only.
Parking: Parking is available at the Convention Center, Camino Real, and Mills Plaza parking garage for a fee. Limited metered parking is available on W. Missouri and E. Franklin Avenue. Parking meters accept quarters, credit cards and Park El Paso, a free app available at your favorite app store.
