This call is open to artists who live within a 150-mile radius of Downtown El Paso, Texas. This includes residents of our sister city Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico.
Pasos Urbanos: A Photographic Narrative of Borderlands Downtown Culture is a juried exhibition.* The focus of the exhibit is our vibrant downtown life as well as the new developments happening on both sides of the Mexico-United States border. We encourage documentation of urban life in both El Paso and Juarez. This includes the bustle of the everyday, the color and joy of local downtown events and festivals, and the celebrated architecture that makes “el centro” a unique and thriving hub of cultural heritage.
Open to artists/photographers living within a 150-mile radius of Downtown El Paso, Texas (see note above). Artists/photographers must eighteen years or older. Students meeting the criteria above are eligible to apply.

How many images may each artist submit?
Artist may submit up to five (5) images for consideration. Black & white or color images are eligible.
Format to submit?
Please format images to jpeg, png, or pdf above 300 dpi (high resolution). Please attach images to application.
Notification to Selected Artist
EPMH will notify the selected artists by October 23, 2019 via email. Selected artists will be responsible for providing professionally mounted and framed works (not to exceed 32” in width).
November 15, 2019 – March 19, 2020
Image use rights
EPMH reserves the right to use submitted images on our digital wall, website, and social media for promotional purposes for the exhibition. Credit line with image author will accompany the image.
