Dear Members and Visitors,
On behalf of the El Paso Museum of History Foundation, thank you for your interest in the Museum of History and for your support of the Foundation. This year, those close to the Museum have been impressed by the energy and passion of Dr. Vladimir von Tsurikov, Director of EMPH and his team as they have led us in new directions. Dr. von Tsurikov has wasted no time developing a new plan for the museum. With the year not yet over, that plan has already become a reality—and there are many more great changes and improvements to come.
Among the changes already in place are the relocation of the Changing Pass permanent exhibit to the ground floor and the installation of Tom Lea’s fantastic mural Southwest, which is on temporary loan from the El Paso Public Library. These are just two of many updates throughout the museum; I encourage you to come see the rest for yourself.
At the Foundation, one of our major efforts this year has been fulfilling the $1 million Hunt Family Foundation Challenge Grant. We welcome donations at any level through the Community Foundation website at https://epcf.org/give/donate/. Just make sure to note that the donation is for the Museum of History Foundation.
Our other focus this year is establishing additional named exhibit halls and rooms within the Museum of History. Named spaces are a tremendous way to support local history and the El Paso community. Please let the Foundation know if you are interested in establishing a named opportunity honoring your family, business, or other organization.
These are exciting times at the Museum of History and we look forward to seeing you soon. As always, thank you for your support and involvement.
